I believe you would be correct on that account. Something tells me the others would not care overmuch about the words that he would speak or the bite that they have.

A soft breath out. He is not grieving the past, not in the way those who want to bring it back do. But he is grieving the pain the changes in it brought to his dearest friend over all this time-- ah well. Not something that can be helped with, now. ]

See? Bad habits. It is in both your and his best interest if you point out to him, calmly, what you don't appreciate. The way that you would wish your own mistakes be pointed out to you, rather than the way that would make you dig in your heels and remain contrary, of course.

I would have to wonder if he would even care for it to be pointed out. It could just serve to irritate further.

Would that be how you would take it?

[ Oh, Hythlodaeus is pointing it out to Hades, when he gets to witness or has been told about it. And he can point out that from most people, that is exactly how Emet-Selch would take it, or as a cause to be even more aggravating.

But Theo isn't most people, not for either of them. ]

No, it wouldn't be. If there is something that is need of correcting, I would see it done.

That is well.

With him, it is slightly more complicated, and it is a little harder to break habits built over millennia, especially ones built as defensive mechanisms. But when aware that he is causing hurt on those who are important to him, he will at least make an attempt to monitor himself.

Mm. It is, I think, easier to continue forward when there is understanding.

He will, too. I suspect... when it stops terrifying him, the pain that will come with understanding.

This would be what blocks understanding. There are certainly more fears, of course.

None of them that I can discern so far can be called lacking justification. *Especially* the fear of emotions, including but far from only because of the recent - somewhat - for us revelations about Dynamis.

We all have fears. It isn't wise to hide from them. Only through embracing such things can they then be overcome.
