It was. Lahabrea thought he was done with it, truly.

[ There are times when it hurts, profoundly, to be reminded of his shortcomings so casually. That discarded, 'failed' bird has more magic by far than he could use in his lifetime. A font of healing, of power. One that required even Hades to transform to deal with it. So much more than Hythlodaeus can ever be, and yet, so casually cast aside. Discarded. Insufficient.

At least today is not one of those times. But the sting of it is present all the same, when he points that part out.

Perhaps he wanted to manage a crisis right here that did not require you to come to his aid, and then it got out of hand. Perhaps he'll bring it up properly once he goes through the report. Or, perhaps, you will need to remind him once more that, just as he comes when you call on his aid, so will you come to his.

What happened? Or is it for the Convocation's eyes only?
